4/8) FILM SCREENING: "Inside A Change" @ BAM

Come join us once again for our ongoing New Voices In Black Cinema event at BAMcinematek!

For our next event we will be screening the film 'Inside A Change' directed by renown music video director and 2009 BET Drector of the Year nominee, Rik Cordero. Winner of the Best Film Award at the 2009 HBO New York International Latino Film Festival, this is Rik's second feature length film and the folks here at ActNow are thrilled to be screening it in our film event.

Inside A Change hits close to home for director Rik Cordero and in many ways we can all relate. The film is about a man named Chris Price who is about to serve 180 days in prison for a first-time offense. When his mother invites him home for dinner, he finds his younger brother following in his footsteps and his older brother disowning him. With his family falling apart, Chris is forced to re-examine his life and how he can bring everyone together for his mother's birthday.

This film stars Ephraim Benton, Karen Chilton, Consequence, Joelle Ortiz, and Tiombe Lockhart.
