SR REVIEW: KASHAN FIELDS & SIMPLY ACOUSTIC SOUL

This review is long overdue, but you know the saying…better late than never and SR’s Caprice couldn’t let this one slide by without saying a word!  Friday, July 9, 2010, SR’s Caprice attended a performance at Billie’s Black Restaurant, hosted by Lorenda Robinson of BROWN BABY GIRL, featuring a live acoustic set by the incomparable, KASHAN FIELDS.  After spending some much needed time in his hometown of Tennessee, he made his way back to the Big Apple to grace us with his smooth and soothing sounds we so dearly missed!  It is evident that he has grown vocally stronger and sweeter since the last time the Synch Ladies witnessed his stylings!  With a killer band backing him, it was like seeing Kashan in a whole new light for the very first time!  He crooned, we sang along, and then we jammed!  The icing on the cake was a beautiful serenade to good friend and spoken word poet, ALMOND JOY, for her birthday.  Tears of joy streamed her cheeks as the entire room joined in!  Now that’s what you call…PRICELESS!!
